Tom Collins

The Tom Collins is a type of Collins cocktail that uses carbonated lemon juice and Gin. First memorialized in writing in 1876 by “the father of American mixology” Jerry Thomas, this ‘Gin and Sparkling Lemonade’ drink typically is served in a Collins glass over ice.

Serve: One the rocks, poured over ice in a Collins glass

Garnish: Orange, cherry or lime

2 parts Gin
1 part fresh lemon juice
drizzle of sugar syrup
Chilled carbonated water to taste

Prep:

Mix the gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup in a tall glass with ice.. top up with soda water, garnish and serve.
