The Golden Elk

The Golden Elk is a shot featuring one part Goldschläger and one part Jägermeister. It has also been referred to as “Jägerschläger”, “Sledgehammer”, “Screaming Nazi”, “Gestapo”, “Iron Curtain”, “Burning Nazi” and “Dead Nazi”. The name Golden Elk is derived from the gold in Goldschläger and the image of the deer which appears on the bottle of Jägermeister (the elk is an animal not native to Germany, but it resembles the German deer pictured on the bottle).
