For the last several weeks I have been applying for jobs and internships within the hospitality industry. I’ve gone on interviews, sent out countless resumes and filled out questionnaires… some with 200 questions psycho-analyzing my every word.
I had been most unsuccessful in my career transition and I was feeling a little down… until today. Right now I am on cloud nine. I recently applied for a few internships… some within the US and some abroad. Since I’d been having such trouble finding work locally… I figured I didn’t really stand much of a chance getting an internship as a 34 year old adult student.
Bite my tongue! As it turns out, someone out there was looking for someone just like me! I will offer more details once the contract is signed… but I’m going to Alaska for a paid internship during the summer months in 2010! I can’t believe it… I’m moving to Alaska!
