Kensingnton Farmer’s Market

Kensignton Famer's Market

Hi everyone, my family and I had the pleasure of visiting the Kensington Famer’s Market this weekend. It was definitely a wonderful experience, and all three of us are excited to go back again next Sunday.

If you are a resident of the 510 or surrounding communities, this market is a must visit on Sundays.

The three booths I’d like to highlight in this post is Tienne Jewelry, The Confectionist, and Simurgh Bakery.

Tienne Jewelry was the first booth that my 9 year old daughter Madeline found. You can bet that if there are beautiful things to be found, she will find them. The table was loaded with beautiful carved and polished stones, and beaded offerings, including rings, and many other things that are sure to please your desire for baubles. Tienne has a website, linked above so that you may find out where they will turn up next for you to visit.  Please check them out, they offer free leather cording with every pendant purchase. My daughter walked away with a very lovely and affordable dragon charm.  Thank you Tienne.

Next, I’d like to tell you about the booth that my partner Christopher found. He has a bit of a sweet tooth, so he found what he was looking for at The Confectionist booth.

Seth’s offerings are as delicious as they are beautiful. If you decide to visit the Kensington Farmer’s Market, be sure to check out Seth’s booth and take home some of your own artisan masterpiece’s to enjoy.

Last, but definitely not least, my personal reason for choosing the Kensington Farmer’s Market this week was to finally visit Simurgh Bakery.

I accidentally ran across them online while doing research and it was the first reason I wanted to visit the Kensington Farmer’s Market! I specifically wanted to try their Chocolate Baklava… and try their Chocolate Baklava, I did. It was worth the wait. It was as flakey and delicious as you could hope Baklava could be. I was not disappointed, and you won’t be either. I added the link to their website above because they do have a website where you can shop if you can’t make it to the famer’s market.

While I was visiting, the wonderful woman working the booth told me that they were opening a café somewhere in Emeryville in just a few days… so that is something to be excited about locals!

Special thanks to all three of the wonderful vendors that we had the pleasure of meeting. We look forward to visiting again on the next Sunday.

Last note is that there is live music… you can sign up for the Kensington Farmer’s Market newsletter to find out what new and interesting things they will be featuring in the future.

Thanks for stopping by.. maybe we’ll see you soon.
